Grey heron

While taking a walk along the Chemnitz Kappelbach, I saw a grey heron.
I was fascinated by how strong, graceful, and beautiful it stood in the water—motionless, focused, and completely calm.

This posture, this quiet self-confidence, became the starting point for the painting.
Here, the animal and the human merge into an image of inner composure and clarity—a silent strength that neither demands nor flees.
