Eye

A direct gaze, captured in a small format. The finely detailed eye and the dark, ornate frame create an exciting contrast between quiet observation and an almost historical aesthetic.

The small original was painted in oil on paper and set by me in a hand-cast and hand-finished plaster frame. The antique gold finish underscores its unique, almost artifact-like character.
